Nestled between the Takitimu Mountains and the Southern Alps, Bev and Murray at Connemara Fiordland offer genuine Kiwi hospitality when you choose to stay in one of our self-contained cottages. We are born and bred Southlanders who enjoy traveling and meeting other genuine folk. We have been farming in Southland for over 40 years (sheep, cattle, etc) and now enjoy Deer Farming We farm various breeds of deer including Red. Wapiti, and Elk, and a few sheep and cattle.
Our Farm Connemara Fiordland is only 8km from Manapouri where the boats depart for the majestic Doubtful Sound cruise tours. Manapouri is the gateway to Doubtful and Fiordland. Visit the magical Sound of Silence and the amazing Manapouri Power Station. Our Connemara Anglers Arms is a self contained cottage with only a 2 minute walk to the wharf.

Milford Sound is a popular tourist destination and is a pleasant 2 hour drive away. Enjoy the magnificent scenery and the many walks toward the Homer Tunnel and on to a nature cruise through Milford Sound .
Manapouri is a small town on the shores of the beautiful Lake Manapouri. There is the choice of 3 Cafes wonderful homemade cooking for picnic lunchs or you can enjoy cooking in your own cottage.
Murray has various interests, his main one being microlight aircraft and he enjoys flying around NZ and instructing new learner pilots. Bev's interests include art, craft, gardening, sport and meeting new people. Mac the old farm dog and Angel the Cat will warmly welcome you and always enjoy a pat.
